Q-BioLiP Statistics

1. Entries in Q-BioLiP

The Q-BioLiP data are organized into three categories: biologically relevant interactions; biologically irrelevant interactions; and structures with ligands or proteins only.

Among the total entries, 35% and 63% are annotated as biologically relevant interactions and biologically irrelevant interactions, respectively; the remaining 2% are structures with ligands or proteins only.

2. Interaction-based data

  • These protein-small molecules/metal ions/peptide/DNA/RNA interaction data are derived from biologically relevant interactions.
  • Type of interaction Number of interactions Number of unique receptors
    Protein–small molecules interaction 488,259 154,282
    Protein–metal ions interaction 309,395 82,158
    Protein–peptide interaction 32,726 21,611
    Protein–protein interaction 160,827 160,827
    Protein–DNA interaction 10,702 9,187
